Orangenkinder:
All Orangenkinder® slippers, crawling shoes and barefoot shoes are manufactured under strict, socially fair and ecological conditions in our factory in Bavaria - made in Germany.
For our slippers we only use vegetable-tanned, chrome-free organic leather from Germany from IVN-certified tanners. The renewable vegetable tannins such as tara pods and Valonea oak are used.
The natural leather is regularly tested by independent institutes for harmful substances in accordance with the IVN guidelines.
All Orangenkinder slippers and shoes are 99% biodegradable.

Please refer to the size chart and instructions for measuring your child's foot in the product images.
Trace your child's foot closely on a piece of paper. Measure the longest length - heel to toe. Use that measurement to choose your child's shoe size from the chart. The size chart already accounts for space to grow.
The measurement you take is the measurement for the right size to purchase.
To insure the right fit, please measure your child's foot.

Brush to clean with wet cloth.
Additionally the leather can be conditioned with otter wax for leather shoes (which we carry) to add a little water resistance and protection.

I really like the shoes for my child, but after a few weeks the outer sole began to wear to the point of visible cracks in it (heel and arch of the foot area). We live in an urban setting and there’s concrete everywhere. I hope this brand can release more shoes that can handle the roughness of urban settings.
Hi Yamiris - we are so sorry your sandals are not performing as well as we would hope. This is the first we have heard of this happening. The soles are made from natural rubber which does have its far reaching positives yet this material is also softer. Could you send us some pics of the shoes? Let's asses if the pair you received has a defect.
