Matona's long-lasting pieces are comfortable, suitable for playing and running around, and grow with the children.

"Step by step to a better future" is the guiding principle behind Matona, and it runs like a red thread through the entire production process. The choice of materials is the first step. Matona uses only high-quality organic fabrics such as linen and cotton, as well as recycled sheep's wool.

All collections are made in small factories that are certified to social and environmental guidelines. This means fair wages, regular working hours and gender equality.

We currently have a carefully selected network of small, family-run manufacturers in Portugal that we visit regularly.

Matona stands for fair and sustainably produced fashion - natural, simple & versatile.

Matona generally runs true to size to a touch on the small side.

If you are in between sizes we suggest going up.

The model is 5'6" and is wearing a small for reference.

Spot clean. Hand wash when necessary. Untreated wool is naturally self cleaning, so airing it out may be all that is needed to freshen it up.

If you do need to give it a bath, use a wool wash - such as Disana's wool wash, that is ph balanced to improve the longevity of your garment.

Roll in a towel to remove the excess water, and lay flat to dry.

Note: when your wool items are wet - you can reshape them to fit you body the way you would like.
