Hirsch Natur's 100 percent organic wool knee high socks might just be the knee high socks of your woolly dreams! Gorgeous, comfortable and magically healthy for your legs and feet.

  • 100 percent GOTS organic wool
  • Small elastic threads on the cuffs of the socks keep them up
  • Warm and Cozy
  • Stretchy Knee high length - that can turn cute slouchy sock if that's your jam
  • Bliss for your legs and feet
  • Beautifully knit in a super thick natural un-dyed Merino (these are the thickest socks from Hirsch - perfect for the person with cold feet in your world)!
  • Do not need to be washed often! Wool socks can be aired to freshen them up, washing is minimally needed, unless soiled.
  • Naturally anti-microbial for fresh and comfortable feet
  • We recommend 3 pairs if you wear wool full time - rotating wool socks with a minimum of 3 pairs makes them last longer and gives each pair a chance to "rest" and "refresh."
  • True to size to slightly large
  • Good for small to medium sized calves - these have a lot of stretch!

These socks are pure love. They are beautiful super thick, and comfortably warm. If you have tried 100 percent untreated wool socks you know the difference. If you haven't tried them -untreated (by super wash/chemically treated) virgin wool socks have a radiant warmth that is so comforting and healing (pure wool is known to increase blood circulation in the body).

Materials

100 percent GOTS organic wool from Patagonia Merino Sheep

Tiny elastic bands are woven into the sock at the top and around the ankle to prevent slippage.

Ethically made in Germany

Brand Info

Hirsch Natur:

Sustainability is part of our company concept.

We therefore prefer to source our raw materials from organic sources

Wool can absorb a lot of moisture without feeling wet (up to 1/3 of its dry weight!). On the surface of the fibers there are fine scales that form felt-like, voluminous structures with neighboring fibers. This results in air-filled cavities that insulate very well and buffer moisture.

When wool comes into contact with sweat, an acidic environment develops. This inhibits the development of bacteria and fungi and tightens and strengthens the skin, so you don't get blisters as quickly when running.

Anyone who keeps sheep organically has a special attitude towards their animals and their work. Organic farmers rely on species-appropriate and healthy husbandry practices.

Only organic feed is used - there are no preventive pesticide treatments.

Every pair of our socks allows you to experience our careful working methods up close.

Size Guide

We feel these socks are true to size. If you have very narrow feet and are in the middle of sizes you could go with the smaller size. With wear they will also snug up some.

Care Instructions

Hand wash with a quality wool wash (like Disana's wool wash). Use the same temperature wash water as the rinse water - ideally cool to lukewarm water.

Roll in a towel to press our water.

Air dry.

Untreated, virgin wool socks (without super wash or plasticizers) - need much less washing than traditional socks. They can be rotated and washed about once a month if needed.

For the longevity of wool socks we recommend rotating them. We have found that having 3 pairs of wool socks is ideal for a longer lasting wool sock rotation. Letting them air and "rest" in between wears adds to their longevity.
