Gently clean your wool and silk items and give them a fresh and rejuvenated feel with Disana Wool Shampoo.
Easy to use, and made specifically for wool and silk.
A mild wool wash that is suited for all wool, wool blends, and silks. It was formulated with a PH that naturally matches that of wool (which is slightly acidic), and helps to prevent wool from matting or felting when being washed. This factor sets it apart from the other wool washes that I love.
Concentrated and suitable for hand or machine washing.
No funny ingredients.
Clean, simple and pure.

We believe in pure, unspoiled nature right from the moment we select our raw materials. Only organic cotton and organic pure new Merino wool which has been independently inspected and certified is used for our disana articles.
We are not only concerned about avoiding contaminants in the fibers of our thread: people’s living conditions and environmental protection in the countries where they are cultivated are also important criteria we bear equal responsibility for, just like all the other links in the production chain.
We are a founding member of the International Association of Natural Textiles (IVN) and are committed to adhering to its guidelines for natural textile production; these are recognized as the most comprehensive, strictest guidelines in the world.

Can be used for all hand washing, and for machine washing.
Many woolens can be safely washed in the washing machine using a wool wash setting, if you have one.
However, not all machines are the same, and water temp needs to be maintained at lukewarm temps (77 degrees F) through the entire wash and rinse, and spin speeds must not exceed 600rpms - (keep spin speed low)).
For hand washing add a cap full of soap to about a gallon of lukewarm water (around 65-80 degrees F is okay - 77 degrees F is optimal.
After spot treating your clothes with ox gall stain remover, place your articles in the soapy water and submerge them fully, making sure that the article is fully saturated. I like to softly dunk and swirl my items (something I learned from Indian woman washing on the river).
No need to soak your items for extended periods of time.
Rinse after wash with lukewarm water.
Done. Fresh and Clean. So rewarding.

Works very well! I need hardly any to wash my son's wooly diaper covers in the bathroom sink.
